Looking for Nerd Force Technician in Brooklyn, NY area (please do not apply if you live outside of Brooklyn, NY)

Training will be provided. Salary + Commission. You must hold a clean driving license.

Core Responsibilities:
– Provide on site support to external and internal clients including computer maintenance and software installation (desktop/server)
– Troubleshoot hardware/software/connectivity issues
– Log all calls in Blue Service and track activities against open calls

Skills:
– Minimum current Comp TIA A+ certified (with a current roadmap towards Microsoft Certifications) or equivalent knowledge
– At least 2 years field experience
– Excellent communication skills (in English)
– Able to demonstrate competence in desktop/end-user support
– Solid working knowledge of all major Microsoft desktop products, including/but not limited to Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Office 2003/2007
– Understanding of networking and network environments
– Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
– Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
– Working knowledge of Mac OSX and Apple support a plus

On Call Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 6:00pm
